‘Honey, fix this bloody tap, I’ve had enough!’ The hot tap in the kitchen has needed fixing for weeks. It’s not just the dripping or having to wrap a towel around it and strain with all your might to turn it off, but as the pipes cool it starts dripping again. Somewhere in a drawer I had a tap grinder kit that my dad left me. It took three drabbles just figuring out how to turn off the water, but after a gargantuan effort and much swearing, I had a new washer fitted, and turned the water back on. Drip.
