Rachael Richey lives in Cornwall with her husband and children. She writes Women's Fiction and Romantic Comedy. She has been writing since she was a child, starting with stories about her teddy bears and dolls.
She lived in the Hebrides for nearly fourteen years, having originally gone there to work for the summer season. She met and married her husband David whilst there, and had two children, before moving to Cornwall at the end of 2000.

The postcard had soft curled edges, the picture faded and cracked. She turned it over and peered at the faint writing on the back. The date was just about visible. May 1970. It should be a long-forgotten time, faded in her memory like the photo on the card. But it wasn’t. That holiday, when she was only twelve years old, wouldn’t fade away. She could never be free of it. The sight of the desolate tin mine, backlit by the setting sun, sent a cold chill through her soul. Only she would ever know the dark secret that mine held.

Hi. The lady who runs the site had a baby a while back and hasn't updated anything or done any daily deals since last summer. I really hope she'll be able to get back to it, but at the moment nothing is happening. Not sure why the e-mails...

Hi Becky, it doesn't cost anything but at the moment nothing seems to be happening on the site. Not sure why. I submitted a couple of promtotions over the last few months and they are stil marked as pending even though the date has passed....

Do try again. They don't always feature a book when you ask, but I have found that whenever one of my books is featured I always get sales. In fact it's often the only time I get sales! Lol. BookHippo is an excellent site, or so I've found.
