Mistake on claiming book

I had to rejoin the site with a new account due to problems with password. Now I can't claim my book to get a promotion listed. The site tells me there can be only one author for that title. There must be my old account still on the system which I now can't edit. Please help me delete my old account so that I can claim my book again.

Yes and I made a new account with the same name. So now I can't edit or claim my own book to get a promotion.
