“You’re Jim?' the big man asked.

“Yes,' I said. “Marcus said you wanted something.'

“Let’s have a look, then.'

I opened my bag and spread out the contents for inspection, onto an old newspaper – it was a dark and grotty pub with grubby tables, but still, I had my standards. I spread my collection of dandelions, clover and deadnettle on the paper, trying not to scatter too much soil around.

“What the hell is this?'

“Marcus said you were interested in these,' I explained.

He leapt up, scattering plants onto the sticky carpet, and hissed “I said I wanted weed!'
