Daddy's Girl

by Julie Vicky Sanford
Originally published by BookHippo.uk on 22/03/2018

“I want one, Daddy!' she screamed in delight, eyes lit up in amazement.

“You can’t, honey, you’re a girl.'

Her face dropped, and she stamped her tiny foot in protest. “But I want one, Daddy!'

How could I deny her? But I had to. Her bottom lip drooped as a cry threatened. Kneeling down to her eye level, I tried to change the subject with the promise of ice cream.

“I want strawberry.'

Phew, situation avoided. Taking her hand, I moved her away from the urinals, deciding that the next time she needed to pee-pee, her mummy could take her.
