The Cabinet Meeting

by Kath Middleton
Originally published by BookHippo.uk on 27/02/2018

They were living in interesting times. Their leader had summoned them to a late-night cabinet meeting. Naturally, there were mounds of paperwork to get through. In the early hours, when they were flagging, someone brought in refreshments. The activity was intense.

When the cleaner arrived in the morning, she was appalled. There was shredded paper and biscuit crumbs everywhere. And the smell! She stepped back, her hand over her mouth. Urine and faeces were scattered around the place.

She must tell the management to make sure the filing cabinet drawers were properly closed so the mice couldn’t get in.
