Wild Western Women

by Cherie Mitchell
Originally published by BookHippo.uk on 07/12/2017

The West was won by brave and adventurous men, and no-one is doubting that fact. But for every two hundred red-blooded males who travelled to California to make their fortunes, there was one faint-hearted female to make up the numbers.

Women named Kate and Molly and Belle stepped forward and made their mark, opening bordellos and brothels, earning themselves a great deal of money in the process. And then there were none as gradually the West became a more family-oriented place. Eventually, everyone pretended it had never even happened. Women didn't do such things.

Hats off, indeed.
