Banned for marking email as spam

If you find yourself unable to log into BookHippo.uk and you get the message 'You have been banned for marking one of our emails as spam', this means that we received a report from your mail provider, that you used the 'mark as spam' button for one of our emails.

Marking email as spam doesn't just stop you getting our emails, it tells email providers that we can't be trusted, and they're more likely to block our emails to other people.

You shouldn't get banned if your email provider accidentally puts one of our emails into your spam folder, only if YOU tell it it's spam.

We have to ban people who mark our emails as spam in case they do it again. We do not send spam emails, only emails people have requested, and those essential to running and developing our service, and it's important that email providers know that.

Having said that, the process is not perfect. If you feel you've been banned by accident, please email crew@bookhippo.uk.
